Caipiras Flag Football maintains leadership in Paulista – Líder Esportes

The Caipiras women’s 5×5 flag football team maintained its leadership in the Caipira Conference of the Paulista Championship of the modality. Playing in Piedade, which hosted the third double round of the competition last weekend, the Piracicaban team beat Hainus Hainus Flag Football by 32×26 and ended up defeated in the duel against Palmeiras Locomotives, by the score of 18×12. With the results, Caipiras, which has the support of the Department of Sports, Leisure and Motor Activities (Selam) now has five wins and one defeat, and is close to guaranteeing classification for the State playoffs.

In the first phase, the Piracicaban team has already beaten Mooca Destroyer (25×6), Rio Preto Weilers (26×13), Capivaras (18×13) and Spartans Football (26×0) in the current season. The next appointment scheduled by the American Pro Football Association (APFA), the entity that organizes the Paulista Championship, will only take place on August 7th. The opponents will be Unasp Roosters and Sorocaba Vipers, lantern and vice lantern of the Caipira Conference, respectively. The games will be in Engenheiro Coelho.

The regular stage of the Paulista Championship provides for five double rounds. The competition has the final stages scheduled for the months of November and December. The Piracicaban team currently trains on Saturdays, from 2 pm to 6 pm, in the field in the Cruz Caiada neighborhood (396 Rua Brodosqui), and has the support of the Piracicaba City Hall through Selam.
