Byron Castillo will not sue Chile ANPF in FIFA case | Lawyer and risk of not playing with Ecuador | National teams

The case of Byron Castillo with Ecuador is still in the news and is waiting for FIFA to deliver a final and culminating decision, although everything points to leaving things as they are and no one is affected in the face of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In principle, FIFA dismissed the demand of the Chilean Football Federation, the ANFP, in which it accused Castillo of falsifying documents and Ecuador of improper alignment, claiming the quota for the World Cup.

After that, it became known that Byron Castillo was preparing a lawsuit against the ANFP, asking for a disciplinary sanction for all the things they said against him; and also go to another instance that allows requesting financial compensation for all the emotional and economic damages to the footballer.

However, lawyer Andrés Holguín, Castillo’s adviser, confirmed that the intention to sue is still valid, but that it will take some time to take legal action.

“This is not the time. The player has just signed a contract with León in Mexico and the least that the club that has invested in him is going to want is for him to attract the Mexican, Ecuadorian and Chilean press, consulting every so often, not because of sports issues, but because of how goes the demand”, assured the lawyer Holguín, in declarations to ‘Directv connection’ in Ecuador.

“Apart from that, we also don’t want this to be a distraction that tomorrow motivates Professor (Gustavo) Alfaro to stop considering Byron for selection,” Byron’s attorney added.
