(mi-lorenteggio.com) Buccinasco, 28 June 202 – Even in the summer evenings the local police of Buccinasco continue to check which, in particular, in the night between Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June withdrew six licenses for driving in a state of intoxication, one driver also denounced for resisting a public official and another for the crime of unjustified carrying of objects capable of offending (a baseball bat).
This is the balance of the night service carried out in the first weekend of summer in Buccinasco, concentrated in particular on the stretch of via Vigevanese that connects to Milan but also on the streets of the inhabited center and the hamlets.
“The message must be clear, those who drive must not drink – declares the mayor Rino Pruiti – because getting behind the wheel drunk is dangerous for oneself and for others. It is therefore necessary to respect the limits established by law in order not to lose lucidity and to maintain safe and responsible driving. In recent months, the Rotary of Buccinasco has organized an important evening, aimed in particular at young people, precisely to raise awareness on the issue. We will continue to organize meetings and initiatives but we will not stop the checks with our agents always present on the territory “.
The local police withdrew six driving licenses from four men and two women: subjected to the assessment of the alcohol level, the drivers showed values well beyond the permitted limit. The complaint was then filed against them to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of driving under the influence of alcohol. Also withdraw the licenses for suspension by the Prefecture.
During the checks there were also moments of tension when a driver hesitated to stop at a halt, even attempting to run over the agents who promptly blocked him. The man appeared in a state of severe alteration due to alcohol abuse but refused to carry out the required test and rejected the treatment of the ambulance staff called by the local police as a precaution. Against him, the agents proceeded with the suspension of his driving license, the seizure of the vehicle and the referral to the judicial authority for the crimes of resistance to a public official and refusal to ascertain the alcohol level.
A forty-one year old resident in the area was also reported to the Prefecture of Milan as a drug user. At the time of the check, the officers noticed a strong smell of hashish coming from inside his car: the immediate search allowed to find a joint already packaged. A baseball bat was also found in his car for which the man was unable to explain. In addition to the withdrawal of his license and the penalty for driving under the influence of alcohol, the 41-year-old was also reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of unjustified carrying of offending objects.
