After signing Ryan Gravenberch, Bayern would like to strengthen their midfield again. According to reports, RB professional Konrad Laimer is at the top of Munich’s wish list. According to current media reports, talks between Bayern and ÖFB-Kicker are already in full swing.
With Corentin Tolisso and Marc Roca, two midfielders will leave FC Bayern in the summer. While Gravenberch should close Tolisso’s gap, Konrad Laimer could catch Roca’s farewell. It’s an open secret that FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann is a big fan of the 25-year-old and would love to bring him to the Isar.

As transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports, Nagelsmann is pushing for a commitment from Laimer, even though the starting position for Bayern is not exactly ideal. Reason: Leipzig does not want to lose the midfielder to direct competitors and prefers a transfer abroad. Most recently, reports even made the rounds, according to which RB excludes a change to the German record champions.
According to Romano, Bayern are not giving up. While there have been no talks between the two clubs so far, the Munich side are trying to reach an agreement with the player side. FCB definitely has an advantage compared to interested parties from England: Laimer is represented by the same consulting agency (ROOF) as Sadio Mane, and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has a very good relationship with them.
Laimer is only contractually bound to the Saxons until 2023. RB are rumored to be asking between €20-25m for the Austria international.
