Transfer works continue at full speed within the scope of staff structuring for the next season in Fenerbahçe Beko.

After announcing coach Dimitris Itoudis, the yellow-dark blue team, who completed the ING Basketball Super League as champions, announced on their official website that they had finally reached an agreement with Jonathan Motley for 2 years and Samet Geyik for 2 years.


Born on May 4, 1995 in Houston, Texas, Johnathan Motley spent his college career with Baylor from 2013 to 2017. Motley averaged 17.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in his final season of college.

Motley, who made his first contract with NBA teams Dallas Mavericks in 2017-18, also wore the Texas Legends jersey of G-League teams in the same season. Johnathan Motley completed the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons in the Los Angeles Clippers and Agua Clients Clippers (G-League).

Motley, who signed an agreement with the Phoenix Suns, one of the NBA teams, at the beginning of the 2020-21 season, but was released in December, finished the 2020-21 season in the Incheon ET Land Elephants team, one of the Korean League teams. Johnathan Motley drew attention with his averages of 20.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 blocks in this team.

Johnathan Motley got his first contract in Europe from Russia’s Lokomotiv Kuban at the beginning of the 2021-22 season. Motley, who appeared in both EuroCup and VTB League with Kuban, left behind a great season. Playing in 9 games in the EuroCup, the American tall player scored 21.2 points (64.5% two points, 73.4% free throws), 7.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 blocks, 0.9 steals and 23.9 PW points. Motley played in 25 games in the VTB League, scoring 19.1 points (60.9% two points, 80% free throws), 7.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.4 steals.


Born in Manisa on January 12, 1993, Samet Geyik started his basketball career with Bornova Municipality in the 2009-10 season. Transferred to Tofaş in 2010-11, Samet wore the uniform of Bursa representative until the end of the 2014-15 season.

Samet Geyik, who started the 2015-16 season with Darüşşafaka and finished the season in Pınar Karşıyaka, spent the 2016-17 season at Anadolu Efes.

Transferred to Beşiktaş in 2017, Samet sweated the team’s jersey for three seasons.

Samet Geyik, who transferred to Türk Telekom in the summer of 2020, spent the last two seasons with the capital city representative. Samet played in 15 EuroCup games in the 2021-22 season, staying on the field for an average of 21 minutes and averaging 6.9 points (55.9% two points, 33.3% 3 points, 66.7% free throws), 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 7.2 PIR. Samet finished the 2021-22 season with averages of 7.52 points (46.25% two points, 38.24% three points, 75.61% free throws), 4.12 rebounds and 1.04 assists in 26 games in the ING Basketball Super League.

Samet Geyik also sweated the national jersey many times, both in the lower age groups and at the A Team level.

Samet Geyik can play in both long positions and draws attention especially with the shooting threat he can create in these positions.
