Tobias Werner and Traiskirchen are still looking for top form. Hoppers at least put up a good fight against Attnang, so the quarter-final ticket is within reach.

Traiskirchen’s split against Attnang as a small success in the fight for the play-off places. At the weekend we will be away against Feldkirch at the bottom.
Traiskirchen’s baseball players aren’t really getting going. There was victory and defeat against Attnang-Puchheim. A yield that chairman Peter Feichtinger could live with: “We are two wins ahead of the Metrostars and the Blue Bats. Feldkirch is four wins behind us. We’re in a good position now to avoid the pitch.”
Eight of the nine teams make it to the quarter-finals after the end of the regular season. Tobias Kiefer threw through the entire match against Attnang, only allowing one run: “That’s quite a strain. He’s slowing down a bit in training so he’ll be ready against Feldkirch.” In the second game, the Hoppers were again too prone to make mistakes. The Athletics won 7-2. “All in all, the split is okay,” says Feichtinger.
On Saturday we go away to Feldkirch for the away doubles. Two wins and the play-off ticket is probably finally bagged. But caution is advised: The Cardinals clinched their second win of the season against champions Wiener Neustadt at the weekend.
