The draw for the ‘Champions’ of European badminton has not been especially favorable to those of Antonio Molina, who have been framed along with the favourite, CB Chambly Oisewhich was a silver medal in the last championship in 2019.
Still with the schedule to be defined, the group stage matches will be played on Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 June in the Polish town of Bialystok. The cornerbacks, apart from facing the French champion, will face one of the two host teams, el OSSM – SMS Bialystokthe Polish champion and with whom Rinconada, a priori, will measure their chances of passing from the top two of the group to the quarterfinals.

Regarding the future of the draw, in general terms, Antonio Molina values his group and the rest of the competition: «Our group is a group where we see ourselves with possibilities. Although it will be difficult to steal first place from the French team, I think we will play second place with the Poles, who without knowing much about them seem to be an interesting team. Regarding the Portuguese, a priori they do not seem to be a considerable threat to pass groups. The other groups are different. In the case of Group 2 where the other Spanish team is, the Recreativo IES La Orden, seems like an affordable group and will not be in trouble to advance to the next round. Group 3 does not have any strong rivals beyond the Lithuanian team, since they are always powerful and, however, Group 4 could be considered the toughest due to the Icelandic champion, the Lithuanian, the Italian and the Norwegian. , another country to take into account».
Once seen the draw, Molina continues to believe in the possibilities of doing a good job: «We remain in the expectation of passing the group stage and, depending on the match, fight for the medal fight.
