Badminton-Recreation (2nd edition): Para badminton players prepare for the new season

This Sunday, June 19, very special for all fathers in the world, was marked by several activities disputed in Hall 2 of the sports hall of Treichville in favor of the second edition of the ” BREAK “.

The first dedicated to para-badists (para-badminton practitioners) mobilized more than thirty athletes from the leagues of Abidjan, Gagnoa and Grand-Bassam. Led by Deputy DTN Christian Pouté, this training aimed “to respect the timetable of the program of para-badminton activities for the 2022 season; mid-term evaluation of the work accomplished through the project “PARABADMINTON IN ACTION” ; to draw the necessary conclusions in order to prepare the continuation of the program “. The presentation of para badminton with initiation activities for new practitioners was at the heart of this training.

The second part of the day was the organization of the first OPEN par badminton of the year with twenty athletes competing in men’s singles and women’s singles in the WH1, SL3 men’s and WH2, SL3, SU5 women’s categories. Several champions including Ettien Kouakou Bernard (Abidjan) in WH1, Yao Deada (Grand-Bassam) in SL3 men, Trey Prisca (Abidjan) in WH2 women, Beda Yasmine (Gagnoa) in SL3 women and Bouaré Nadia (Abidjan) in SU5 women have illuminated this day.

A delivery of materials by the Steering Committee of the Ivorian Badminton Federation (FIBAD) to the various Leagues present closed the day. Note that several para-badminton deadlines will punctuate the new exercise. This is International Badminton Day scheduled for July 05, 2022, the national championship announced in August 2022 and especially the African Cup of Nations Para badminton without forgetting the Para badminton internationals which will be played in Uganda in September 2022.
