Set up by Guillaume Gailly, the departmental final of the youth circuit mobilized 72 badminton players, from chicks to cadets, on Saturday June 18, in Kerjouanneau. With 30 attendees, le Badminton club Kemperle (BCK) was by far the best represented club for this home competition. “This is the first year that we have organized this circuit, the players scored points in the various tournaments and the best were qualified for this final played in singles”, details Guillaume Gailly, member of the BCK working for the committee of the Finistere.
Podiums and victories
With fifteen podiums, ten third places, two second places and three victories, the BCK was the most visible. Among the winners, we find the chick Margot Corne who wins in front of four teammates, the chick Malone Hilmoine and the youngest Maïlyss Paugam who beats three teammates.
Sunday was devoted to the regional team finals. The BCK had achieved the feat of winning the departmental youth championships in all categories (youngsters, youngsters, minors and cadets), it thus presented its four teams against the champions of the other departments of the league of Brittany.
The chicks were crowned champions by beating Ploemeur in the final, 5-0 with Malone Hilmoine, Nolann Lefaure, Margot Corne, Félécie Garnier, Romain Le Teuff and Lumen Bihan. The benjamins and the minimals were classified third and the cadets second.
On Saturday June 25, the BCK will organize its general assembly at 5.30 p.m. in Kerjouanneau with preamble to activities from 10.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
