At the Givenchy fashion show, the models literally walked on water!

“I think everything about the brand is grounded in reality. I could see this guy, how he looks, existing on the street. And for me, that’s a really modern approach to fashion.” Matthew M. Williams told Vogue right after the presentation of his spring/summer 2023 men’s show at the École Militaire. Here’s everything you needed to remember about this show event from the incredible set to the logo mania and the updated tailoring.

The impressive decor

The fashion show took place in the heart of the École Militaire, located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Matthew M. Williams did a great job with a set in the form of a white pool. A white cube appeared to be floating and served as a backdrop for the models who literally walked on water.

logomania

This season more than ever, the logo at Givenchy is powerful. It is quickly noticed in the opening look’s baseball jacket covered with the quilted emblem of the signature G and 1952, the founding year of the house. Balaclavas, T-shirts, caps and neon-colored sweatpants were also embellished with the famous logo.
