Panama and Venezuela play this Sunday, June 12 (12MD) in the duel for the gold medal of the U-15 Baseball Pre-World Championship, which is based in the city of Valencia.

The clash between Panamanians and Venezuelans is the final awaited since day one by the local fans, who have shown their love for the national tricolor in each match at the José Bernardo Pérez stadium, the home of the Navegantes de Magallanes.

Panama beat Venezuela on the second date of the U15 World Cup by a score of 9 runs to 1, however, that result is behind us and even more so now that the South Americans are going through their best moment with two consecutive victories on the field and the triumph in the semifinal table against Cuba for using a pitcher who was disabled.

The right Garcia opened and won the game last Friday June 3 against Colombia, in Panama’s debut here in Valencia. That day Gustavo pitched 4.1 innings of four hits, one run, three walks and five strikeouts.

García began his second game on Tuesday the 7th against Puerto Rico with a 1.2-inning task and took the loss After giving four walks, allowing two hits, three runs were scored, two of those earned, and he struck out two.

In their six games in the U15 World Cup, Panama collectively bats .319, thanks to 53 hits in 166 at-bats, the pitchers accumulate an average of 5.71 earned runs allowed and on the diamond they add 10 sins.
