The American interior of Asvel Lyon-Villeurbanne, Raymar Morgan, has signed up with the Turkish club Galatasaray, engaged in the Euroleague, announced the champion club of France.
Morgan, 33, who arrived from Pinar Karsiyaka (Turkey), signed in July 2021 for Asvel, which then made him a pillar of his recruitment.
But injured in the back at the start of the season and operated on for a herniated disc in November, he only played two matches with the Villeurbannaise team, one in the Euroleague against Olympiakos Piraeus (12 points, defeat 80-94) and the another in the Coupe de France, lost to Gravelines in the quarter-finals (2 points, 79-78).
This is the second departure for the club, three reigning French champions, after that of Chris Jones in Valence.
