The Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and the Deputy Mayor, Begoña Villacís, accompanied by several members of the corporation, received this afternoon at the Palacio de Cibeles the players, technical team and directors of Real Madrid Basketball, who has won its 36th ACB Endesa League title.
Almeida has shown the “feeling of pride that invades the entire city of Madrid” for the “extraordinary sporting feat” achieved by the team and for its “exemplary behavior”, because, as the mayor has highlighted, “it is very difficult for the things can get so uphill” and the team has responded sportingly and humanely, “you are an example for the whole city”.
