Archery, World Cup 2022: everything is ready for the Paris stage

Wait over, come back there World Cup 2022. The third stage of the competition will start tomorrow and will take place in Paris and will see over three hundred and fifty athletes at the start. Many of the best archers in the world will arrive in the transalpine capital. There is obviously also Italy, fresh from two silvers in a row with the men’s Olympic team in the World Cup and from the victory of the European title, again with the trio of recurvo, won in Munich. In Paris, as in the other stages, the top finishers of each division will directly qualify and join the seven who have already won the pass: Miguel Alvarino, Bryony Pitman, Ella Gibson, Mike Schloesser, Kim Woojin, Choi Misun, Kim Yunhee .

The first day of competition will see the compounds on the field with qualifying in the afternoon. On Wednesday, however, we will start shooting both in the morning, with the clashes up to the bronze of the compound teams, and in the afternoon, with the qualifications of the Olympic arc. The athletes of the recurvo will also be protagonists on Thursday starting from nine with the matches up to the team bronze, while from 14 there will be the start of the individual compound scoreboards with arrows up to the quarter-finals. Friday morning will be dedicated to mixed teams with clashes up to the semifinals, while in the afternoon the Olympic archers will compete up to the quarterfinals. As per tradition, the weekend will instead be entirely dedicated to the finals: on Saturday those of the compound, on Sunday those of the Olympic.

In the men’s recurvo the three Azzurri who have just won the European title return to the field: Mauro Nespoli (Air Force), Federico Musolesi (Air Force) e Alessandro Paoli (Blue Flames). Along with them too Michele Frangilli (Air Force). The Munich trio is also confirmed in the female recurvo: Tatiana Andreoli (Gold Flames), Lucilla Boari (Fiamme Oro) ed Elizabeth Mijno (Blue Flames). To complete the training will be the owner of Tokyo Chiara Rebagliati (Gold Flames). Instead, many changes in the compound selections: they have been called up Marco Bruno (Arcieri Juvenilia) Leonardo Constantine (Archers of the Alps), Elia Fregnan (Arcieri Del Torrazzo) e Sergio Pagni (Archers City of Pescia). In women they find the blue shirt Anastasia Anastasio (Navy) ed Elisa Bazzichetto (Archers of Torresin), confirmed instead Elisa Roner (Cosmos Rovereto) e Marcella Tonioli (Montalcino archers) who won team silver at the European Championships last weekend together with Sara Ret.
