Poste Italiane announces the issue by the Ministry of Economic Development of an ordinary stamp belonging to the thematic series “Sport” dedicated to the Italian Federation of Judo Fight Karate Martial Arts (Fijlkam), on the 120th anniversary of the foundation, relating to the value of the tariff B equal to 1.10 euros. The edition is in three hundred thousand copies in sheets of forty-five copies. The stamp is printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato SpA, in rotogravure, on white, neutral coated, self-adhesive, non-fluorescent paper. The sketch is edited by Silvia Girlanda and Livio Toschi.
The cartoon
The cartoon bordered, at the top, by a detail of the logo of the 120 years of the Italian Judo Fight Karate Martial Arts Federation, depicts, on a white field, the “Matteo Pellicone” Federal Olympic Center located in Ostia Lido and three pairs of athletes representing the main sports of Fijlkam: Wrestling, Judo and Karate, each represented with the colors conventionally attributed by the Federation to each discipline. The stamp is completed by the legend “Italian Federation of Judo Fighting Karate Martial Arts”, the inscription “Italia” and the tariff indication “B”.
Philatelic products
The first day cancellation is available at the post office in Ostia Lido. The postage stamp and related philatelic products, postcards, cards and illustrative bulletins will be available at the Post Offices with philatelic counter, the “Spazio Filatelia” in Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Rome, Rome 1, Turin, Trieste, Venice, Verona and on the poste.it website. For the occasion, a double-leaf A4 format philatelic folder was also created, containing a quatrain of stamps, a single stamp, a canceled and franked postcard and a first-day cover, at a price of 15 euros.
