A San Luis will compete in the National Development Field in Judo

San Luis has a young man summoned from a total of 150 participants in the sub 13 and sub 15 categories, by the Argentine Judo Confederation for the National Field of Technical Development, from July 20 to 24, in the facilities of the Colony of Holidays Santa María de Punilla, province of Córdoba. It is a field of technical development scoring to participate in the South American championship to be held in November in the city of Villa Carlos Paz.

Carlos Javier Torres, Judo coach, explained the great growth of the children’s category in the province: “Through the Argentine Confederation we have resumed children’s tournaments, which has meant that we have representatives in those tournaments. We are very happy with the child base we have, and it will grow every time”.

Continuing with the topic, she reported on the situation of her students: “Paula Torres Brandani, they are preparing for next year in the children’s category A; Thiago Gatica and Aldo Torres Brandani, in category B. They are all preparing for the Evita games. In addition, Aldo is the only San Luis representative in the field of development, in the month of July”.

Regarding how talent is detected in a child in this discipline, he commented: “The family is very important in following these sports. In our dojo, we have a class in which all categories participate, they are always learning and strengthening each other. And seeing Judo references helps children and young people a lot”.

On the other hand, both Thiago Gatica, Paula and Aldo Torres Brandani, when asked about how they approached the sport, stated that their parents were the ones who made it possible for them to get to know Judo. Closing the communication, Aldo confessed: “My dream is to go to the Olympic Games.”
