A hundred people participate in the ‘Badminton Without Barriers’ in Moguer

Near 100 participantsmembers of different associations, participated in the closing day of the Program Badminton Without Barriers which took place in the surroundings of the hermitage of Montemayor, in the municipality of Moguer.

under the motto All united for the environment and social inclusion in sportthe event was organized by the Andalusian Badminton Federation and the Moguer City Council and was sponsored by the Department of Education and Sports of the Andalusian Government, the Huelva Provincial Council, the Moguer Municipal Sports Board, the Atlantic Foundation Copper, the Laureaus Foundation and the La Caixa Foundation.



The territorial delegate for Education and Sports, Estela Villalba, stated that “badminton inclusive badminton is for everyone, promoting sports and healthy lifestyle habits is a main objective of this Department, there are no excuses for not engaging in physical activity”.

For his part, the president of the Andalusian Federation, Carlos Longo, stressed that inclusive badminton is a badminton where “all people have a place, it helps minimize those efforts that families make every day, have a participatory and fun nature and we want these activities to expand throughout Andalusia”.

The program of the event consisted of a series of activities in rotation, with dances, water balloons, parachute activities and practice of AirBádminton, a form of badminton that is played outdoors with a special shuttlecock. The participating entities were Aspapronia, Ansares, Avadi, Cristo Roto and Abriendo Puertas.
