A condition for releasing Talen Horton-Tucker?

Changes are expected during the offseason at the Los Angeles Lakers, primarily because many players will be free agents, such as Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Malik Monk, Kent Bazemore, Wayne Ellington, Avery Bradley or even DJ Augustin. Then Rob Pelinka will probably try to set up trades to strengthen the team since it will have little flexibility during free agency.

Sure, he’ll probably try to trade Russell Westbrook, but that option seems less and less likely. There are not many assets left to set up a trade: Kendrick Nunn, whose odds cannot be very high, and above all Talen Horton-Tucker. He is probably the best asset of the Californians, even if his rating has taken a hit this season following his very disappointing performances when the Lakers had bet big on him. The interest in it is probably less great, but it can be an interesting asset for a trade. However, if ESPN is to be believed, the Lakers have a very, very high regard for him. Indeed, they would not be keen on trading him, unless they could include him in a package for which they would receive in return at least one All-Star caliber player.

Recall that THT signed a contract of 30.78 million dollars during the previous intersasion.
