On May 1st, Beijing time, well-known commentator Yang Yi revealed in the program that Liaoning forward Zhang Zhenlin plans to play in the NBA Development League and get a chance to impact the NBA. The Liaoning team already knows the news.
Yang Yi recently revealed in the live broadcast, “Zhang Zhenlin is going to go to the United States to play the G-league (NBA Development League), and then see if he can hit the NBA. In the CBA finals, the Liaoning team defeated Guangsha 4-0 and successfully won the championship. This season, Zhang Zhenlin averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game in the regular season; in the playoffs, he averaged 14.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Zhang Zhenlin played for NCAA Tulane University during his college days. In 2020, Zhang Zhenlin will return to China and play for the Liaoning team for two seasons before hitting the NBA. There is no official statement from the Liaoning team.
