Yamatocho Bambis Ward First victory in rookie match All tenacious baseball | Naka Ward / Nishi Ward

The youth baseball team “Yamatocho Bambis” based in Tateno Elementary School has recently won the 22nd Naka Ward Youth Baseball Rookie of the Year Spring Tournament for the first time.

Eight youth baseball teams based in Naka Ward will participate. The team won the game with tenacious baseball players who couldn’t lose their concentration.

The final match will be against the Sagitake Club Youth Baseball Club. No. 4 Yusho Kobayashi won the game in a timely manner with two points, but in the final six innings, he was able to catch up with a tie of 3 to 3. After that, Taro Yoshizaki of Wright got through the pinch of goodbye with a fine play and went to the extended game. After winning the captain Yuji Mori in a timely manner in the 7th inning, he continued to score 3 points and won the close battle. Pitcher Shugo Takei contributed to the victory by making a complete game with no four pitches (one hit by pitch).

Captain Mori said, “The championship that the whole team got. It was a Bambis that was close to my ideal. I am confident in this experience and want to strengthen the base running side in the future.”
