What’s next for Robert Lewandowski (33) and Bayern?
The superstar definitely wants to leave the club, his advisor Pini Zahavi just said in BILD: “FC Bayern is history for Robert!”
So far, however, the club bosses have remained of the opinion that they will not sell Lewandowski (contract until 2023) this summer – although there is now an official offer from FC Barcelona. Boss Oliver Kahn (52) even spoke a “basta” word of power at the championship celebration.
Now, for the first time, a Bayern player is talking about a possible sale – namely the captain!

When asked by BILD at the DFB training camp in Marbella, Manuel Neuer (36) said: “I think Robert Lewandowski has clear ideas, just like the club has clear ideas. He has one year left on his contract, so he’s tied to the club for now.”
Neuer continues: “If there is a desire that he wants to leave the club, then there will be talks and then the club has to weigh up: does it make sense to sell Lewy or do you keep him? The question is, if you sell him, what signing do you have for the forward position? The club has always put together a good squad with a top team, so I’m quite sure that we’ll make the right decisions for FC Bayern again!”
Means: For Neuer, a sale is anything but impossible – if there is a replacement for Super-Lewy.
About his own contract extension until 2024, Neuer said: “It was actually very relaxed and easy. The conversations were very good, everything was very pleasant, without turbulence. We are all happy. There’s still a long way to go until 2024, I’m 36 now, which is why Hasan Salihamidzic and I agreed that we’d look each other in the eye then. Of course, I don’t want to play if I’m no longer feeling well. If I know that I’m fit, everything is fine and my performance is right, then we can have a normal conversation like men, look into each other’s eyes and say I’m fine or my performance isn’t right, then you sit down together. It was also my wish not to extend the contract beyond 2024.”
