A volunteer team of about thirty people who responded and were not too many to set up the marquees, bouncy castles and prepare the 150 covers for the Saturday meal and the 200 for Sunday lunch. Two meals accompanied, this Sunday morning, by a walk on the trails of Casterabes and a mountain bike ride.

“We worked in close collaboration with the Au bout du chemin association, which works to rehabilitate old trails so that volunteers from the two associations can find each other. We marked the two routes and invited people to meet at 7:30 a.m. this Sunday for breakfast. Around 8:30 a.m., the participants had the choice between a muscle awakening with Kévin Coat’ch, hiking or mountain biking.

Three activities which were accompanied on the site by games for children as well as an introduction to archery offered by La Flèche Orthézienne.
Neighborhood parties that are the last bastion in the town: “When I was 20, remembers Christian Castaingts, there were parties in Soarns, in all neighborhoods, now I don’t think there are more than us and Moncade. Often the problem is finding motivated people ready to volunteer. Here, it’s fine, but maybe it’s because it’s a neighborhood that has everything of the village”.
And the latter to continue: “Me, I’ve been taking part in it since 2006, I don’t come from far, from Baigts, but it’s true that you quickly fall in love with the place like people”.
