Schäfer fetches Baier
Wolfsburg sports director Marcel Schäfer (37) and his youth friend Daniel Baier (37) will soon be reunited. Baier, who most recently worked as a scout for his ex-club FC Augsburg, will join VfL Wolfsburg as a scout.
Baier’s talent eyes will be working for VfL Wolfsburg from the summer. Schäfer and Baier both grew up near Aschaffenburg, both went from Lower Franconia to the juniors of 1860 Munich 22 years ago, both switched from the lions to the wolves in 2007. From summer both are reunited.
