Valérie Pécresse calls for sanctions against Idrissa Gueye

The President of the Ile-de-France region Valérie Pécresse this morning asked PSG for sanctions against her midfielder Idrissa Gueye, after the latter refused to play the match against Montpellier on Saturday because this match was part of the part of the world day against homophobia. Pécresse considers footballers to be role models for young people and that’s why she asked via social media that this incident not go unpunished.

“The players of a football club, and those of PSG in particular, are figures of identification for our young people. They have a duty to set an example. A refusal by Idrissa Gana Gueye to join the fight against homophobia could not remain without sanction! »wrote on Twitter Valérie Pécresse by directly mentioning the official PSG account.
