Valencia vs. Real Betis – Match Report – May 10, 2022

Three goals against in the second half, the first two when Valencia was better off and in a devastating ending, gave victory to a Betis that handled the game better and knew how to neutralize the rival in the second period to close an indisputable victory with European flavor.

After a nondescript first half by both teams, Valencia improved after the break, but an isolated action led to the goal by Willian José, after which the local team’s players insisted on their attacking football and, although they surrounded the meta bética, there was no clarity in any of their attack actions.

The final minutes were of local pressure until Canales closed the match in a counterattack prior to the 0-3, which came on the next play, the work of Borja Iglesias.
