Ukraine national basketball team manager Andrii Lebediev is currently in Taiwan, hosted by the Kaohsiung Steelers team. Andrii Lebediev shared his ambition to bring the Ukrainian national team to Taiwan to train there and prepare for the upcoming 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
The qualifying phase for Europe will take place at the beginning of July with a match against Georgia on 1is July and then against Macedonia on July 4. In its preparation phase, the Ukrainian team would also plan a double confrontation against the Taiwanese national team.
Discussions on this possible program are currently taking place between the Taiwanese basketball federation and Taiwanese government officials.
Note that, for its part, Taiwan must prepare its next international matches against China and Japan which will take place in early July in Melbourne, Australia.
