What is the NBA Draft Combine anyway?

A little reminder for those who are not too familiar with the Draft and more specifically the Combine: the latter brings together the best youngsters who wish or at least plan to attend the big ceremony in June. Individual tests, measurement of physical and athletic abilities, shooting exercises, scrimmages in five-against-five… the Combine allows prospects to gauge themselves against the competition as well as NBA teams to closely observe each kid. Scouts and coaches can thus have a better idea of the potential of each player, but also form a clearer opinion on the personality of the latter through one-on-one interviews. As you can imagine, the Combine is a major step towards the Draft, with some taking advantage of the event to boost their odds while others are disappointing observers.
