Elina Svitolina and Gaël Monfils announced this Sunday morning, on Twitter, to expect a happy event. A first child for the married couple since last summer. The French player clarified that the delivery was scheduled for October.
This pregnancy could well be the main reason for the absence of the Ukrainian player on the WTA circuit for a few weeks. Svitolina played his last game in Miami on March 24.
