The Bsc brings the schools of Grosseto to the regional baseball tournament “Catch the school” – GrossetoSport

It was a day of celebration and sport that attended by the primary school Gianni Rodari of Grosseto, thanks to the collaboration of the Bsc Grosseto 1952, on the diamond of the baseball plant of the Padule di Sesto Fiorentino. Thanks to the collaboration between the schools and the Italian baseball softball federation (Fibs), it was possible to organize “Catch the school”, the school baseball tournament in Tuscany, in which many boys and girls competed on the game diamond. “The best third, fourth and fifth classes of our region – declares Lino Luciani, head of the Bsc Grosseto 1952 for the Schools project -, who have shown particular skills on the pitch, have fun and challenged themselves during the various innings. It was a great opportunity to bring young people closer to the world of baseball, living an outdoor experience and healthy sporting competition “. Among the Tuscan schools that participated, also the primary school Gianni Rodari of Grosseto, which showed great sportsmanship under the guidance of Lino Luciani, project manager for Grosseto. “We have been working on the event – comments Silvia Maraffon, head of the Fibs School project – for a long time. We are confident that also next year, with the Covid-19 pandemic crisis finally behind us, the initiative will embrace a more conspicuous number of schools and that more and more boys and girls will be able to approach the game of baseball “.
