DEW STONE – (red). The Taunusstein brothers Immo and Hendrik Schmidt of the Budo-Sport-Club Taunusstein secured the Kata European Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. The two judoka were able to qualify for the final in the Nage-no-Kata in fourth place with 391.5 points in a very close field. With a gap of only four points to first place, the Taunusstein team started there as the penultimate pair and were able to improve their position by three points. The brothers prevailed with a narrow lead over the athletes from Spain and France.
