Sport, Sbam arrives at Parco Dora: 40 open fields for everyone to try dozens of disciplines

Parco Dora voting for sport: Saturday 28 May, in the large space under the roof (the Vitali area), Sbam – Sport, Wellness, Nutrition and Movement is scheduled, a sporting event open to all to promote a healthy lifestyle and a culture of movement. The project is due to the “Muoviamoci” call of the Compagnia di San Paolo.

At Parco Dora it will be possible to try your hand at many disciplines: horse riding, football, athletics, orienteering, martial arts, dance, rhythmic gymnastics, skateboarding, parkour, slackline, motocross, archery, volley and sitting volley, tennis and wheelchair tennis. , basketball and baskin, baseball, walking football, roller and scooters, yoga, meditation, pickleball, wheelchair bowling, table tennis, fitness, rugby, circus activities, Nordic walking, medieval area. Alongside the possibility of trying on the field, prevention visits, workshops and performances by established athletes are planned.

After the two-year stop due to a pandemic, Sbam wants to be a moment of real restart, also proposing a new way of conceiving public spaces and their use. Among the athletes participating in the day there are Andrea Macrìparalympic athlete para ice hockey and wheelchair tennis, Giacomo Casalis e Giulia Capocciwheelchair tennis athletes, Francesca Fossato (city volley), Patrizia Saccà (table tennis) and Torino basketball players (basket).

The project is sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the Metropolitan City of Turin, the City of Turin, the Italian Paralympic Committee and Coni. The partners include Cus Torino, Sportdipiù, VolTo, the Nida volunteer service center, the Italian national team of Friendship and Solidarity together 2010.
