The Spanish soccer team is already facing the last international window of the season, with up to four official matches, more than ever, due to the incidence of the World Cup in Qatar, the first beyond the usual summer dates, in the soccer calendar .

Spain now faces the first four games of the group stage in the third edition of the League of Nations, a competition in which they are current runners-up after losing the final against France in Milan in October. With the hangover from the Champions League won by Real Madrid in Paris and two white players in the squad -Dani Carvajal and Marco Asensio- the interns arrived at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas throughout the morning, to carry out in the afternoon the first training under the command of Luis Enrique.

And there is no time to lose, because La Roja will face a tall rival, Portugal, next Thursday at the Benito Villamarín in Seville. The first champion of the League of Nations in 2019 is a priori the most powerful opponent on the road to next year’s final four, which only the best of each of the four groups can access.

Already on Sunday the Spanish team will face each other in Prague with the Czech Republic, a classic of the final phases of the European Championship, before moving to Geneva to face Switzerland next Thursday, June 9, with pending accounts from the Swiss team, whom Spain eliminated on penalties in the quarterfinals of the last European Championship. On Sunday the 12th, La Roja will close this atypical June window by receiving the Czech team at La Rosaleda in Malaga.

The group stage of the League of Nations will close at the end of September, receiving Switzerland and returning the visit to Portugal in the last rounds prior to the World Cup in Qatar, between November 21 and December 18.
