Sevilla: Chelsea do not abdicate for Koundé

At the end of their contract this summer, Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen will leave Chelsea to join Real Madrid and FC Barcelona respectively. But the Blues, soon to be in lack of backs, have a good opportunity to take their revenge on the Spanish championship by extracting one of its best central defenders: Jules Koundé (23 years old, 31 games and 2 goals in La Liga this season ), which has been a highlight of Seville since 2019.

Already last summer, the former Bordelais had almost joined London at the end of the transfer window, but Sevilla had not found his replacement in time. This time around, both teams want to go fast. On the Chelsea side, we are waiting for the club to be definitively sold to Todd Boehly and for the sanctions to end before taking action. Then will come the phase of negotiations and, according to the English edition of Goal, the Andalusians will claim around 70 million euros to let go of Koundé.

Once the agreement with Sevilla is concluded, Chelsea will only have to revise slightly upwards that established with the player last summer. Because it still seems to have increased in value since.
