Robert Lewandowski: “I want to leave Bayern Munich”, is Barcelona beckoning? † Bundesliga

Against Wolfsburg, Robert Lewandowski secured his seventh top scorer title with his 35th goal of the season, equaling Gerd Müller’s record. But that’s probably it.

Lewandowski has indicated that he does not want to renew his contract with Bayern, which still runs for one year. He hopes the club will cooperate to let him go this summer, while it can still collect money for him.

“I can confirm that I have communicated my decision to sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. I am sure that both parties will think about the future and will want to find the best solution.”

According to the German Sport1, the future of Lewandowski lies in Spain. Despite the financial problems, Barcelona would be willing to pay down the 35-40 million euros that Bayern would still demand.
