River was forceful and went ahead in the series against All Boys de La Pampa

For the round of 16 of the Southern Conference of the Federal League, River defeated All Boys de La Pampa 77-59 at the Micro-stadium of the Mâs Monumental Stadium. Germán Fernández was the scorer with 18 points.

In an even start, in which both teams showed solid defensive performances, River was the first to break the parity of the result, finding conversion spaces in the central zone, while the pampas team went from low to high, balancing the trend with his three-point attempts. However, halfway through the initial quarter, All Boys began to show inaccuracies, which were taken advantage of by the locals. Despite this, the distances remained short.

The dawn of the second quarter was favorable to the visiting team. Showing a notable improvement in his defensive work, he put the Millionaire’s offensive intentions in check. However, when the spaces were scarce to reach the hoop, the River Plate team began to find their conversions in the zone of three. This tendency was growing with the passing of the game, and also stopped the Pampas advance. In an intense closing, the local went into the break in advantage with a partial of 39-28.

Unlike the parity seen in the first half, the third quarter was favorable to Núñez’s team, who showed their best level on the night. El Millonario exhibited solidity in defense and was forceful when it came to attacking, which considerably widened the distances on the scoreboard. For its part, All Boys tried at all times to return to the performance shown in the initial set, but ran into a masterful moment by River in all its fundamentals.

With the differences already established, the locals handled the fourth episode calmly, maintaining the level before a visit that did not find the answer that balances the dispute. This slack in the scoreboard gave the River Plate coach the opportunity to rotate the team and give playing time to the youngest members of the squad. In this way, the Millionaire added the first point of the series, winning 77-59.
