New date for the Women’s Federal League. They will play: Sports Federation-Ferro de Madryn, Ben Hur-Zaninetti, RPB-Rocamora Workshops, Berazategui-Peñarol, Lanús-Wilde and Florida-Moreno.

Sunday’s day for the Women’s Federal League will bring with it a juicy schedule with six games. Despite the fact that the tournament has only been disputed for a week, several teams have already begun to demonstrate their firmness and potential for their aspirations, so little by little the protagonists of this first group stage begin to be revealed in each of the regions.

Sports Federation-Ferro de Madryn: The long-awaited debut day for the Fede has arrived, part of a historic moment for the club since for the first time it is presenting both a male and female team in the federal tournaments. This will also be the first time that she will compete at the national level in the women’s senior category. For this, he signed a historic player like Paula Reggiardo, in a team that is completed with the presence of Micaela Piazza under the ring, as well as Keila Romero, Angela Paviotti, Sofía Cruz, Fernanda Illesca, Alen Cámara, Camila Vázquez, Constanza Cartagena, Kiara Mihoglu, Irene Paviotti, Lucía Bonzani, Juana Marín and Valentina Barrientos.

In Ferrocarril Patagonico de Madryn smiles abound after yesterday’s positive debut in Comodoro Rivadavia, after beating Gimnasia in the first match of the tournament by 69-51. Federico Scarpaci’s cast has important exponents in its rotation, from the signings of Valeria Fernández, Sofía Paoli, Ivana González and Eliana Antoniuk, as well as players like Camila Pagano, Luján Rioja and Malena Gerez.

Ben Hur-Zaninetti: Duel of extremes in the Coast, with Ben Hur being the protagonist of a very positive start that positions him partially at the top of the area (2-0 record). It is not for less, since in their debut they beat Talleres RPB and yesterday they did the same against Rocamora in a great game (61-58). Agustina Bazán, Natasha Spiatta, Daniela Oldani, Yanet Traid, Juliana Barbieri, among others, support the potential of a team that already sets a trend.

Zaninetti, meanwhile, has not been able to start the tournament well and the two defeats he has suffered so far reflect this. In both games, including yesterday’s loss against Talleres de Gálvez (77-54), he was by a large difference. Without his star Rocío Díaz (injured), he will have to support himself even more in important performances such as those of Micaela Quiroga, Nerea Schmidt, Antonella Casas and Sophia Romero.

RPB-Rocamora workshops: After the false debut last weekend, Talleres RPB turned the page and were able to celebrate their first victory in this edition after beating Zaninetti at home (77-54). A young team, with a lot of talent and dynamics, that finds players at a great moment like Micaela Corgnali near the rim, also Julia Centurión in that sector, or Candela García on the perimeter, Lucila Ramallo, Virginia Peralta and Vanina Constantini. Nerea Lagowski can enter the rotation and today this team is missing Angelina Giacone, participating in the select NBA-FIBA BSF Americas event that takes place from today in Mexico.

Rocamora meanwhile debuted yesterday with a defeat against Ben Hur (61-58). Lali González’s Rojas were unable to sustain a great advantage of +17 that they managed to have at times, suffering a defeat in the last minutes of the afternoon and coming up empty-handed in their debut. They will go for recovery, in a team that already knows that it will rely on its captain Antonella González, in addition to the talent of Irina Figueroa, Ailén Ayala, and other important youngsters such as Paula Santini, Juana Pais, Inés Fernández, Clara Montañana, Martina Schunk and Delphine Cergneux.

Berazategui-Peñarol: After qualifying for the Final 4 of the South American League, the three-time champion of the Women’s League started the current Federal League with a victory against Burzaco during the week (81-55). A good start for one of the a priori candidates in the category, who, with respect to the roster that she presented in her debut today, will make a change by rotating chips with the entry of Sofía Wolf for Agustina Jourdheuil. She will have Agustina Marín and Julia Tubio to further enhance her formation, completing with Delfina Fasciolo, Delfina Gentinetta, Lourdes Casals Candia, Jazmín Eraso, Mia Farella, Paloma Alvetto and Lucila Rodríguez.

Peñarol, for his part, will be making his season premiere this Sunday, as a visitor and with the expectation of playing another great role, always remembering that he is a very interesting entertainer in the category. The team will be guided by Sebastián Blanco and Lautaro Hernández. The players that will make it up will be Tamara Dell Olio, Micaela Sancisi, Muriel Sauan, Federica Laganá, Martina Barbarino, Juana Barrionuevo, Lola Chan, Sofía Colantonio, Guadalupe Demársico, Mora García Duffy, Dolores Gauna, Constanza Marchioni, Guadalupe Olza, Nicole Quesada and Camilla Weiske.

Lanus-Wilde: Lanús made a very good league debut during the week and managed to celebrate on the first date against Centro Galicia in Olivos (70-59). Those led by Sebastián Lanzieri are among the favorites in the area, with important and renowned players. Luciana Delabarba is one of the most welcome additions to Grana, accompanied by Georgina Buzzetti, captain Martina Scian, Ayelén Boujon, Martina Rodríguez Rocha, Sofía Díaz, Milagros Sánchez, Camila Lignac, Olivia Oltmann, Melani Soriani, among others.

Wilde meanwhile comes from winning in his first presentation, after winning a very tough away game against Moreno in Quilmes (58-53). With most of the squad made up of club players, with the DNA of the institution and for years already defending their colors, the team has already shown a lot of spirit and with cards to take into account such as Soledad González, Romina Touzón, Mailén Gerace, Florencia Krenek, Candela Piedras, Candela Canessa and Paula Staffo.

Florida-Moreno Union: Florida started the season with a very good win against Vélez, in one of the most exciting and historic Metro classics (53-47). It was a great start for Nicolás Grosso’s team, who want to ratify their level and stay on the winning path with another new home event. Led by the stellar Carla Miculka together with Florencia Martínez, those of Vicente López have a large arsenal of young people with Delfina Saravia, Sofía Zapke, Julieta Sienra, Giuliana Baccarelli and Julieta Ranalli. They go for more this Sunday.

Moreno, for his part, has just lost in his debut against Wilde (58-53), although this Saturday for the AFMB metropolitan tournament he took a kind of revenge against the same rival. He now wants to translate those smiles in this Federal League, seeking to add his first celebration in the tournament. A victory would be totally relevant, in a team full of experience and with players with a marked career such as Luciana Zinna, Marcela Del Prete, Fernando Ercolano, Soledad Lamedica, Pamela Mateos, Jacqueline López, Berenice López, Micaela Bardelli, among others.
