Real Madrid: Bale, goodbye from the stands

Triste adis de Gareth Bale to Santiago Bernabu. The Welshman was ruled out by Carlo Ancelotti in what could be his last game at the Madrid Coliseumwhat to see from the stands.

Bale entered the list summoned for the duel against the Real Betis, but finally he was not included by the Real Madrid coach among the substitute players of the team. If they are among them Marcelo e Iscowho, like Bale, face their last game with Madrid at home before the end of their contracts on June 30.

The Welshman will watch his last match at the Bernabu from the players’ box, in which he has hardly been seen in recent months. In fact, he wasn’t even in the game that crowned his team as league champions. Some “spas” in the back made him watch the duel against Espanyol and the subsequent celebrations on television.

Bale, yes, will have one last chance to say goodbye to Madrid. The whites still have a game ahead of them, the Champions League final against Liverpool, next May 28 in Paris. All in all, it seems very complicated, if not impossible, for Bale to appear on the lawn of St Denis if he did not even occupy a place on the bench in the game against Betis, totally irrelevant for Madrid from a strictly sporting point of view.
