Plíšková fights for the semifinals. Seventeen-year-old Nosk advanced to the French Open

Last year’s junior winner Linda Nosková won the qualification for Roland Garros. The 17-year-old tennis player beat Slovakia Rebecca Šramková 6: 3, 6: 2 and will play a clay grand slam in Paris for the first time in the main competition among adults.

Last June, Nosková won the junior singles in Paris as the fourth Czech. This week, she eliminated three opponents in the qualification and succeeded as the only Czech woman. Nosková, the 185th player in the rankings, eliminated Šramková in less than an hour. The talented Czech tennis player turned five breakballs, did not maintain the service herself once at the beginning of the first set and can look forward to tonight’s lottery. The grand slam will start on Sunday.
