Vienna/Kathmandu – The former European judo champion Sabrina Filtsmoser climbed Everest. According to the local judo association (ÖJV), the 41-year-old from Upper Austria stood on Sunday afternoon with a judo belt and a judo peace mascot on the highest mountain in the world at 8,848 meters. “Those were the hardest days of my life. I was lucky enough to be able to sit on the summit when the weather was good,” said Filtsmoser.
