Orléans beats Paris and gets some air in Betclic Elite

It took two and a half hours of play to decide between Paris and Orléans on Sunday at the Georges Carpentier hall, as part of the 31st day of Betclic Élite. And after two extensions, it was the OLB who came out with a smile (94-93) after a thriller ended with a stray ball from the baseline by Parisian full-back Juhann Begarin (11 points to 3 on 15 shots, 15 rebounds) while there were two seconds left and the promoted had a match point.

An offensive rebound converted by Jeremy Nzeulie had, on the previous possession, given the advantage to the Loiret players.

Châlons-Reims mathematically in Pro B

Carried by its US leader Chris Warren, who broke his career points record (37 to 13 out of 23 on shots), Orléans did the right operation of the day by taking a two-victory lead now on the first relegation player, Fos-sur – Wed, three days from time.

For its part, Paris hoped to validate its maintenance for its first season in the elite but it lacked lucidity in the last moments, despite the efforts of Kyle Allman (24 points) and Ismaël Kamagaté who had snatched the second extension on a shot from six yards (85-85). The Parisians nevertheless keep three successes ahead of Fos. In addition, the victory of Orléans mathematically condemns Châlons-Reims, good last and on twelve losses in a row, to the Pro B.
