NBA playoffs: Dallas fan insults family of superstar Chris Paul

Phoenix –

The Dallas Mavericks made an impressive comeback in the quarterfinals of the NBA playoffs. The series is now 2: 2 after games. The Texans around the German national player Maxi Kleber won the hard-fought game in front of their home crowd 111:101, two days after their first victory.

Apparently there was an unpleasant incident during the game. A Dallas fan is said to have molested the family of Suns star Chris Paul. Paul complained on Twitter. In fact, a spectator had been led out of the arena. “It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated,” the Mavs said after the game.

Phoenix Coach Monty Williams NBA Coach of the Year

Meanwhile, Monty Williams was voted NBA Basketball Coach of the Year by the Phoenix Suns. The 50-year-old ex-professional led his team to a record of 64 wins and 18 defeats in the regular season and has now received the award for the first time, as the NBA announced late Monday evening (local time). Superstar Paul also congratulated his coach via Twitter.

Behind Williams, who clearly won with 458 points, were Taylor Jenkins of the Memphis Grizzlies (270) and Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat (72). (okay/dpa)
