Mourning the death of Bob Lanier, NBA star and Khalia’s father

A serious mourning has hit the world of sport today with the disappearance of Bob Laniergreat basketball champion of the seventies and eighties and father of Khalia Lanierplayer of the Volleyball Bergamo 1991. Lanier died at the age of 73 after a brief illness. He had been one of the best players in the NBA since 1970, establishing himself for a decade with the jersey Detroit Pistons and subsequently with i Milwaukee Bucks. In 1992 he had joined the Hall of Fame and in the past 30 years he had become the NBA’s global ambassador and special assistant to commissioner Davide Stern.

Among the countless messages of condolence received by the relatives there is naturally also that of the Orobic society, which in a note “he clings with strength and affection to the family for the sudden and untimely death“.
