Melanie Serrano announces her retirement: “It’s not a goodbye, it’s a here and always”

“Melanie is Barça, and Barça is Melanie.” This phrase sums up perfectly who Melanie Serrano is and what she has done for the club of her life and for women’s football. Since the club was first worn in 2003, it has never stopped defending and showing off while it has been part of the evolution of this sport. Now it’s time to hang up your boots, to say goodbye to the day-to-day running of the team, but Serrano isn’t leaving at all: he’s starting a new project at Barça, where he will remain part of the women’s structure.
