Mega transfer for Manchester City: English top club makes the arrival of Erling Haaland official | Premier League

It is already one of the super transfers of the year.

Not Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, but Manchester City has won the battle for Erling Haaland. Reportedly, the Norwegian, who still has to agree on a few personal details, will earn about 440,000 euros every week.

Haaland has stormed the football top at a rapid pace in recent years. At the Norwegian Molde, the sniper first caused a furore in his own country, then he also showed his nose for goals at Red Bull Salzburg.

In 2020, a first major transfer to the German Borussia Dortmund followed. There, Haaland scored no fewer than 85 times in 88 games.

Not surprising that almost all European top clubs pulled on his sleeve. Certainly the transfer clause in his contract (60 million euros) made the striker particularly popular.

City is now pulling the longest straw – and Kevin De Bruyne will not be sad about that in the least. Dad Alf-Inge is also undoubtedly beaming: he played three seasons for the Citizens between 2000 and 2003.

Borussia Dortmund did not wait long to fill the void after Haaland. The German top club just announced the arrival of Karim Adeyemi. The 20-year-old top talent comes (just like Haaland before) from RB Salzburg and signed a contract for five seasons.

Dortmund reportedly pays a record sum of 38 million euros for Adeyemi. That made the German international the most expensive purchase in club history.
