Mario Strikers: Battle League Football is coming – Record Gaming

Mario Strikers: Battle League Football arrives on Nintendo Switch on Friday, June 10th, but the First Kick* demo event is now available for free download from the Nintendo eShop and includes access to impressive online team battles – available on Saturday the 4 and Sunday, June 5th, as well as a training mode to learn the basics so players can play some pre-season ‘friendly’ matches in preparation for match day. Nintendo also announced that the full game will receive free updates upon release, including new characters. In the meantime you can watch the newly released Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – Presentation trailer and find out how to throw the ball, look for opportunities to score goals or throw a teammate against opponents, on the way to victory.

The Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – First Kick tutorial, available now for Nintendo Switch Online members and starting June 2nd also for players who participate in the Nintendo Switch Online 7-Day Free Trial, teaches players all the concepts basics, from shooting and passing to more advanced moves and skills. Once players are familiar with the commands, they are ready to put everything on the line and face off against other participants online on Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th during the times listed below:

In online team matches for Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – First Kick, players can form a team and challenge other participants online. Each team can be made up of players from 2 Nintendo Switch consoles, and a maximum of 2 players can join the team from each console, making it possible for them to line up up to a maximum of 4 players per team. It is possible to form an alliance with random players or friends online. Try out all 10 characters in the game, test your unique skills and assemble a team based on your preferred playstyle.

Starting Thursday, June 2 at 1:00 pm, players without a Nintendo Switch Online membership can activate a 7-day free membership, even if they have used a free trial in the past. This grants access to the Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – First Kick demo event, and players can also enjoy a week of all the benefits that Nintendo Switch Online membership has to offer, including access to a curated library of more 100+ NES and Super NES titles, online games with compatible titles, cloud recording and more.
