Luis Díaz: Canal + from France, documentary about the Colombian’s career, world phenomenon, video | Colombians Abroad

It is time to get used to talking about Luis Díaz in different languages, in different countries, in all the corners where they deal with the phenomenon that has occurred with his arrival at Liverpool. He is in the elite, there is no doubt about that.

In addition to the English press, now the impact of the Colombian has been felt in France, where Canal+ presented a documentary in which they relive their history, visit Barrancas (La Guajira) and tell them step by step, interviewing their relatives, their first trainers and even Junior’s teammates, to understand where such talent comes from.

“At 4 years old I brought him to the field because daddy told me I want to go, I want to be a footballer, he did not speak clearly but he was understood,” says Manuel Díaz at the beginning of the story. “He would spend the rest of the day here, until 10 at night. He would fight with him because it was already late, he would call him and he would hide so as not to go out,” he added.

The French journalistic team visits the fields in Barranquilla where they noticed that he was a special footballer and talks with local journalists and even with Gabriel Fuentes, who is not very surprised at what the world barely knows about his friend, since all his skill was enjoyed in Junior.

The peasant thing has begun to cross borders in a way never seen before. His story is just beginning to be written and although he tries to stay focused on his own and not get distracted by fame, inevitably the world talks about him. The great footballers on the planet must also get used to that.
