Jurgen Klopp and FC Bayern? So far, this combination has not come together. But there was a lot of interest from Munich, confirms Klopp.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has revealed that he could have coached Bayern Munich several times during his career. However, the higher number of titles associated with this did not appeal to him.

The 54-year-old insisted that he would not trade his starting position at the Reds, where he can still win four titles this season, with any other club. “Which club should I go to to find a different situation? Tell me that,” he quotes Telegraph the successful German coach. “I could only Pep [Guardiola] ask if he doesn’t feel like winning anymore and take over at City.” But: “That wouldn’t work, I don’t want that.”

Jürgen Klopp confirms multiple requests from Bayern

He could have taken over the record champions in the Bundesliga: “I could have switched to Bayern a few times. I would have won more titles in my life, at least the chances were good. But I didn’t do that. I had a contract here and didn’t do it.”

When exactly he could have gone to Bayern, Klopp did not reveal. Apparently Bayern have asked several times since his signature at Anfield in autumn 2015. Immediately after moving to the Premier League, Klopp was still closed Sky Sport News HD said: “I never had contact with Bayern Munich.”

The Reds have already won the Carabao Cup this season, the FA Cup final against Chelsea is on Saturday evening and then the Champions League final against Real Madrid in two weeks. Things are looking bad in the league, however, with ManCity still three points ahead and the better goal difference with two games left. “It’s good to be here, but the icing on the cake is still missing,” said Klopp. “We’re working on that.”
