Eintracht Frankfurt are European Cup winners – and the fans can’t wait for their heroes to return from Seville. Follow live when the team arrives and the city on the Main becomes Germany’s biggest fan party.
They did it: In the Europa League final on Wednesday evening, Eintracht Frankfurt triumphed 5-4 on penalties against Glasgow Rangers. For the club it is only the second international title and at the same time the first entry into the premier class. At the lavish victory party in a posh club in Seville, even the otherwise quiet successful coach Oliver Glasner mutated into a party beast. “I’ll let the pig out and party until Saturday – and on Sunday I’ll go on vacation,” announced the 47-year-old football teacher, who was completely soaked from a beer shower by his protégés.
State of emergency also in the city on the Main. Like the players, tens of thousands of fans turned night into day and exuberantly celebrated the cup victory. All attention is now focused on Thursday evening, when the homecoming of the “Heroes of Seville” is expected around 6 p.m.

Eintracht Frankfurt celebrates a football fairy tale
