The “Cavour” Higher Education Institute participates in the “Beach & Volley School” project. The residential project “Beach & Volley School”, conceived by the Italian Volleyball Federation and organized by Sporting Meetings, is an original proposal aimed at Italian secondary schools. After two years of interruption due to a pandemic, on the days of 3, 4, 5 and 6 May, 45 students from the “Lanino” Professional Institute and the “Cavour” Technical Institute participated in the “Beach & Volley School” week in Bibione.

We students had the opportunity to carry out various activities including archery, beach soccher, beach tennis, zumba, hip hop, soccer, swimming pool, frisbee, beach volleyball. In beach volleyball training we were organized in groups; our coach Marco, who knows the discipline very well, has allowed us to learn the basics of this sport.

The Beach volley training sessions ended with the participation in the tournament which involved all the participating Italian Institutes for a total of 47 teams for category 3a – 4a – 5a female superior and 62 teams for category 3a – 4a – 5a male superior.

Our mates from the ‘Sunfire’ team finished in eighth place in the overall standings, while the men’s teams ‘Mirco’s boys’ and ‘Fifth metacarpus’ finished in fifth and eighth place. The other teams of our Institute also distinguished themselves positively. We liked this project very much, it gave us the opportunity to be together and to share really pleasant sporting and aggregation moments, which we were forgetting, after these two years of pandemic. We now report some comments from the students who participated in these four days: “We found this experience beautiful and very interesting, as we had the opportunity to experiment with new activities and make new friends” say Michelle Flye, Valeria Basiricó and Celeste Andreotti.

“It was an educational and fun trip, an experience to repeat!” say Beatrice Belliardi and Lucrezia Cecchettin.

“It was a wonderful experience, we also had the opportunity to make friends with new people” commented Rebecca Marino, Sara Fontana and Giorgia Kajana.

We thank our teachers Antonella Ferrero, Annunziata Aita, Mirco Rosa, Cristian Lazzaro who accompanied us allowing us to live this beautiful and formative experience.
