South Korea and China will meet in the 2022 Uber Cup final. Judging by the schedule for the 2022 Uber Cup final, the match will be held at noon today.
China qualified for the final after winning over Thailand in the semifinals, Friday (13/5/2022) afternoon WIB. The defending champions won 3-0 over the hosts.
The 2020 Olympic gold medalist, Chen Yu Fei, opened China’s advantage by defeating Ratchanok Intanon. Chen Qing Chen / Jia Yi Fan and He Bing Jiao then solidified China’s victory.
Korea followed to the final by eliminating Uber 2020 runner-up, Japan. Korea won 3-0 in the semifinals.
An Seyoung opened Korea’s advantage with a win over Akane Yamaguchi. Lee Sohee/Shin Seungchan then defeated the 2022 All England champions, Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida, before Kim Gaeun won the third party.
This is the 19th final for China in the Uber Cup. They have won a total of 15 times.
Meanwhile for Korea, this is the ninth time they have appeared in the Uber Cup final. Korea has only won the Uber Cup once, in 2010.
Judging from the schedule for the 2022 Uber Cup final, the match between Korea and China will be held at Impact Arena, Bangkok, on Saturday (14/5/2022) starting at 13.00 WIB.
